Guruvayoor
Guruvayoor is known as the Dwaraka of South attracts lots of pilgrims. This famous pilgrim center is located in the Thrissur district of Kerala. Also this place is called Bhoolokavaikunta or heaven on earth and that makes this place buzz with pilgrims from all over India. The people reach a spiritual bliss after spending hours in this tranquil temple atmosphere.

Thiruvambadi Krishna Shrine
It is one of the ancient temples located in central and north Kerala. The main deity of the temple is Lord Krishna. The prestigious event of the temple is the Thrissur Puram which happens during April – May every year. The procession during the festival attracts lot of people. It starts from Thiruvambady; caparisoned elephants add glamour and glitter to the whole event. Then the customary Kudamattom takes place, here umbrellas in different designs are showcased between two groups and is a treat for the eyes.
Venkitachalapathy Temple
It is located near Parthasarathy temple in Guruvayoor and the prime deity is the Venkatavhalapathy, as in Thirupathi.
Mammiyar Mahadevan Temple
This temple is very close to Guruvayoor Temple and people believe that Guruvayoor tour would not be complete without visiting this temple. The temple’s main deity is Lord Shiva and it is believed that Goddess Lakshmi is also present in the sanctum sanctorum.
Parthasarathy Temple
The temple is gifted with an idol of Parthasarathy that is Lord Krishna in the pose of guiding Arjuna. And the idol is believed to have been installed by Adi Shankara. The design of the temple sanctum is that of a chariot with wheels.
Guruvayoorappan Temple
It is the most visited temple and the most famous temple in the whole of South India. Child Lord Krishna is the main deity of the temple, known as Balagopalan. More and more devotees are attracted towards this temple and they get mental peace after worshipping.
Elephant Temple
There is an elephant camp in Punnathur Kotta which is the largest one in India. The elephants here are offered by devotees as an offering to Lord Krishna.
Institute of Mural Painting
This institute was established by Guruvayoor Devasom in the year 1989. It was founded by renowned master of mural painting, Shri Mammiyoor Krishnankutty.
Chowalloor Shiva Temple
In the neighborhood of Guruvayoor lies this temple which is famous as an abode of Shiva. Famous as one of the 108 shivalayas, the temple atmosphere will make you calm and give you peace of mind.
Chamundeswari Temple
This temple is also close to the Guruvayoor Temple and the presiding deity of the temple is Sri Chamundeswari, a manifestation of Lord Durga. Another shrine is there in the premises in which the deity is Thazhthukavu Bhagavathy. The temple is many years old and attracts lots of devotees.
